How does a Postpartum Doula help Raleigh area families?
A postpartum doula gives new parents or experienced parents physical and emotional support after the birth of their baby.
Postpartum Doulas support all types of families- families birthing their own children, adopted children, and children born via surrogacy.
There’s an overwhelming amount of information available to new parents, and even parents on their second or third can find themselves overwhelmed. Doulas are trained to help your family navigate all of the information and guide you into finding a parenting style that works best for your family.
Services
Postpartum doula support can include: caregiving overnight while parents get much-needed rest, bottle feeding techniques, breastfeeding knowledge, how to manage feeding struggles, struggles adjusting to parenting, identifying and providing resources for Postpartum Mood disorders, learning how to soothe your baby, caring support, and how to adequately rest and heal your body.

About Us
Kelly started her Postpartum Doula career in Boston, MA. Kelly has been serving clients in Raleigh, Cary, Apex and the surrounding areas since 2014. Her first clients were premature twins. The family had another set of twins that were 18 months old. She quickly learned how to organize the wonderful chaos of having twins, helping the older twins adjust to their new siblings, and helping the household run smoothly. Purely by accident, Kelly had found her niche. For many years she worked exclusively with multiples, although she also loves working with single babies.
Kelly is a mom to a 11 year old, but her extended "family" of past clients is vast. Trained through CAPPA, she has been working as a postpartum doula for 14 years. She enjoys continuing education to stay current with all things postpartum. She loves helping new families adjust their older kids to having a new baby at home.
Kelly is passionate about supporting moms through postpartum mood disorders and breastfeeding struggles. In her free time she enjoys traveling with her family, playing with her dogs, yoga and golf.
“This isn’t my first rodeo. There’s nothing that you or your babies can throw at me that I haven’t seen or that we cannot work through together.”
